That's really cool how you work on your school newspaper. We don't really have one- it's sort of just a monthly thing with students writing in it, but we call it a paper. That string idea is so cool. I'll have to do that. At our school, we have an anti-genocide/human rights club. We do fundraisers for Darfur and the invisible children and stuff. I should see if we can do one directly for slavery.
I've got to study- I HATE FINALS!!!
Bye!
PS
You should read the book SOLD, it's really good- about a modern day girl who gets sold into slavery.
Hi,
Yeah, Ontario, California came up on google too, but more results were for Oregon so I just went for Oregon! It's neat that you live in California, I'd love to live there! I go to Sayre School. It's in the middle of downtown Lexington and is really small- we have maybe 250 kids in our whole high school. I like art, and doctor stuff- doctor shows and doctorish subjects like science. That's what I want to be when I get older. I also like theatre and soccer. I am 15. So what do you like to do?
Hey that ribbon idea is really cool! Do you use just regular ribbon, or do you get a bracelet especially for the cause?- you know like the bracelets they make for cancer, and other stuff?
Hey Rocio!
My name is Hayley, and I live in Lexington Kentucky (KY). It's sort of central eastern...if that makes sense. I guess I shouldn't have used initials. I know that KY and NY are probably the only ones that I could figure out! So do you live in Oregon (I googled Ontario!)? About how you said how not many people are dedicated to this...I totally agree. It's like that with a lot of things I care about- like the environment, and Darfur, and recently the Tibet situation. It's annoying that no one seems to care and that they say it is because those people live too far away, but I mean, it's not like many of them care very much about the people who need help here either!
I'm supposed to be studying for history now so I'll talk to you later.
Bye!
PS- I love dogs too! Do you have any? The big one's name is Jake and the little one's Rosie. That was my X-mas card picture last christmas. Yeah- I don't think I'll be the only one on the card next year...I think a may be getting a little old to have myself on my cards. I don't have siblings, so it's always just been me on there. Maybe I'll just put Jake and Rosie on there- they're probably more photogenic. That's probably one of the best pix I've taken and it's not even that great! I don't know why I'm going on about this. I kind of do that sometimes in emails and stuff. Well-got to study!
PS PS
if you're wondering why what I wrote to you is on my comments too- it's because I commented on myself on accident...I'm new at this.
hey again!
I don't really know how to accept a friend request (obviously I don't have many on NOt For Sale!) so I'm going to request you.
Thanks,
Hayley

How did you learn about or get involved in fighting slavery?
There was a Power - Point done in one of my classes to inform us statistically about Human Trafficking. It touched me greatly, so I decided to begin researching and finding out information for myself. I have become a passionate advocate for the fight against Human - Slavery.
