I love art too, I'm not much of an artist myself to be honest, I love to paint - but it's not something where I can paint anything other than abstract. I love the Latin Arts though. Oh cool, doctor! I have a lot of friends who want to be doctors, we need more of them in this world. Well, let's see - I write for my school newspaper, I'm an editor, and next year I'll be Editor in Chief. I also do a lot for my Christian Club, church and French Club.

Well it's not a ribbon, it's actually a string - so you can take showers and won't have to take it off. Eventually it comes off, after about three months, but you should try it. It's great to see how many people around my school wear it now.

Not many people care about this issue especially, part unawareness, and part carelessness. I'm doing my best to spread the word around my city and school especially, I've been passing out orange strings to students to wear around their wrist to show that they support the fight against human sex trade. You should try it too, it's a lot of work, and a lot of rejecting goes on - but it's worth it :)

Oh yes I have two dogs, one is a chihuahua and the other is a pomeranian. The pomeranian is mine, the other is my sister's - but I still consider her my dog too. I love big dogs too, I love labs - they're so friendly and playful, but we're only allowed to have small dogs because they're easier to take care of I guess. I'd love to someday have a lab though. How old are you? How's school? What are your interests?

My name is Hayley, and I live in Lexington Kentucky (KY). It's sort of central eastern...if that makes sense. I guess I shouldn't have used initials. I know that KY and NY are probably the only ones that I could figure out! So do you live in Oregon (I googled Ontario!)? About how you said how not many people are dedicated to this...I totally agree. It's like that with a lot of things I care about- like the environment, and Darfur, and recently the Tibet situation. It's annoying that no one seems to care and that they say it is because those people live too far away, but I mean, it's not like many of them care very much about the people who need help here either!

I'm supposed to be studying for history now so I'll talk to you later.

PS- I love dogs too! Do you have any? The big one's name is Jake and the little one's Rosie. That was my X-mas card picture last christmas. Yeah- I don't think I'll be the only one on the card next year...I think a may be getting a little old to have myself on my cards. I don't have siblings, so it's always just been me on there. Maybe I'll just put Jake and Rosie on there- they're probably more photogenic. That's probably one of the best pix I've taken and it's not even that great! I don't know why I'm going on about this. I kind of do that sometimes in emails and stuff. Well-got to study!

How did you learn about or get involved in fighting slavery?

After reading the book SOLD for school, about a 13 year old girl from Nepal who is sold into sex slavery, also called forced prostitution, my teacher told us that this is the story of MILLIONS of men, women, and children. He told us about this website, where I found out more of the horrifying details. At school, I am in the Students Against Genocide/Human Rights Club, where we learn about things like the Genocide in Darfur, and modern-day slavery. We try to educate the other students and also raise money for various causes related to human rights.
